Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms:

1.1. These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern the provision of bespoke, made-to-measure Roman blinds, cushions, and curtains (collectively referred to as "Soft Furnishings") by Britton Designs to the customer (referred to as "Customer" or "Client").

1.2. By engaging with Britton Designs for the creation of Soft Furnishings, the Customer agrees to abide by these Terms and any other specific agreements or contracts established in writing between the parties.

2. Consultations and Design Process:

2.1. Britton Designs will provide an initial phone consultation to discuss the Customer's project requirements and preferences, with an additional design consultation if required.

2.2. Design proposals, fabric choices, measurements, and customisations, and cost estimates will be confirmed during the consultation process.

2.3. The Customer is encouraged to provide clear and accurate information during consultations to ensure the creation of Soft Furnishings that meet their expectations.

3. Measurements and Installations:

3.1. The accuracy of measurements is crucial for the successful creation and installation of Soft Furnishings. The Customer may choose between professional measuring services or providing measurements themselves. If the Customer provides their own measurements, they are fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy of these measurements. Products once made cannot be returned if measurements were provided incorrectly by the Customer.

3.2. If the Customer opts for professional measuring services, a fee may apply, and arrangements will be made for a visit to the property.

3.3. Installation services are available upon request and may incur additional charges.

4. Design and Customisations:

4.1. Soft Furnishings will be created based on the design proposal approved by the Customer. Any customisations, design elements, and accessories will be incorporated as agreed upon.

5. Costs and Payments:

5.1. The Customer will receive an invoice detailing the costs associated with the creation of Soft Furnishings. The invoice may include costs for fabric, lining, interlining, accessories, customisations, installation, and delivery.

5.2. A deposit may be required to initiate the project, as specified in the invoice. Any orders and respective dates are only confirmed on receipt of deposit.

5.3. Payment is due by the due date indicated on the invoice. Late fees may be applicable if the due date is not met. Products must be paid for in full before delivery and / or installation of the product.

6. Delivery and Installation:

6.1. Soft Furnishings will be delivered to the specified location as agreed upon.

6.2. Installation services will be scheduled based on the Customer's preferences after receipt of final payment.

7. Quality Assurance:

7.1. Britton Designs takes pride in delivering high-quality Soft Furnishings. All items undergo a thorough quality check before delivery.

8. Cancellations and Refunds:

8.1. Cancellations of orders must be made in writing to Britton Designs, prior to the production of the Soft Furnishings.

8.2 Refunds may be provided in accordance with our cancellation policy, as specified in the proposal and invoice.

8.2. Due to the custom nature of Britton Designs’ products, refunds are not possible once production of the Soft Furnishings has begun.

9. Customer Responsibilities:

9.1. The Customer is responsible for providing access to the property for measurements, delivery, and installation.

9.2. The Customer should promptly address any concerns or issues related to the Soft Furnishings delivered within 48 hours of delivery. Any longer term queries relating to the Soft Furnishings will be dealt with at the discretion of Britton Designs.

10. Changes to the Terms:

10.1. Britton Designs reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Customers will be informed of any changes in advance.

11. Governing Law:

11.1. These Terms and the provision of Soft Furnishings shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

By engaging with Britton Designs, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between Britton Designs and the Customer for the creation of bespoke, made-to-measure Soft Furnishings.
